ELMO is a spunky, sweet, &  typical (of his breed) tiny tyrant.. though he would dispute the tiny part if you ask him!!   

Elmo thinks a small dog buddy would be fantastic, but he is willing to consider life as single dog for the right family.  Lap time & cuddles are a must.  Large dogs or small humans are bleh & to be barked at until they go away.   Cats are a question mark, but a dog-savvy cat would probably be OK.

Elmo is housetrained & OK on a leash, so an apartment would be acceptable to Elmo..... though he would love a fenced yard or dog park.

ELMO is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore.

An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link --  https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption

Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt.   The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.
