SCOOTER is an active, goofy hound mix.  He loves running, playing,  napping, & more playing.

Scooter is housetrained & okay on a leash, but isn’t terribly fond of being crated.   Cats are a question mark, but a dog-savvy cat would probably be OK.   People of all types are awesome, especially ones who have food bowls or snacks to share. Snuggles with his person are PAWSOME!

Scooter loves to run, so will do best in a home with a fenced yard or local dog park where he can exercise & explore. A dog buddy would be fantastic, but is willing to consider life as a SHD (single hound dog) for the right family.

SCOOTER is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore.

An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link --  https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption

Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt.   The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.
