Leo was surrendered to a local shelter when is human moved & was unable to take him with them. Understandably traumatized at being all alone in a strange place, Leo shut down.  Fast forward a few weeks, a freedom ride to rescue & some quality time with the fellow doxies in his foster home & he is a whole new hotdog!

He adores squeek toys, belly rubs, & canine play buddies.  Cats are a question mark, as are very small humans... they made him very nervous. School age kids who respect his space & know how to throw the occasional toy across the yard for him to retrieve seem cool with Leo though.

Leo is leash trained, housetrained &  *loves* to go on car rides... though he'd prefer if they were to McD's or Petco... not to a vet office. He is also crate trained, but would much prefer to snuggle with you in the "big bed" if allowed. Leo is smart as a tack & knows the commands for sit & go pee-pee (outside)... but could use some work on "shake paw" and "hush-the-mailman-is-not-here-to-murder-us".
