Pearl was one of the lucky survivors, coming to rescue from a large-scale neglect situation where she suffered from the painfully itchy, but easily treated demodex skin condition. Some time & TLC soon taught Pearl that humans weren't so bad & that life as a rescue dog rocked!

Pearl *adores* other dogs of all sizes, but takes a while to warm up to humans. Small humans are actually her favorite, since they tend to have tasty leftovers around (which her hound nose will find!).  Pearl is crate trained, house-trained, & knows how to use a doggie door!

She is accustomed to a fenced yard & probably would do best in a home with one, since leash walks really aren't her thing.   Squeek toys & dinner time elicit all sorts of happy wiggles from Miss Pearl. She also enjoys a good chewie or dental bone.
