Mario is an adventurous, typical beagle.   When not fighting dragons & saving Princesses, he enjoys toys, food & people of all sizes. Mario gets along well with others & is seeking a furever home with another active doggie buddy(s) to share his famous adventures with.

Mario is crate trained, though would much prefer a spot in the "big bed" at night & makes an excellent foot warmer.  Being a puppy of 3 months, leash walking & potty training are a work in progress, but Mario promises he is trying his best.  An adopter that will commit to continued training (and perhaps even puppy classes with a trainer) would be very beneficial to help him gain confidence & continue on the right path.

Mario is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link: http://www.k9rescuees.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=4070, veterinary and personal reference checks and a home visit are required prior to being approved to adopt.

NOTE (for those over 65) -- As part of the application process, K9-ES asks that you provide a back up caretaker. Dogs are family & we want a human family member to step-up to take your new best friend in the event you are no longer able to care for him/her.... not for the dog to find themselves homeless once again in their declining years.

We all know that life happens, so those under the age of 65 are also highly encouraged to think about a back-up plan for your animals BEFORE you potentially find yourself unable to care for them.

On the application, there is a "comments" section where you can list the backups name, email address and phone number. Please fill that in as completely & specifically as possible.
