Commonly referred to as a "doll baby" and a "love bug," Penny is ready to find her forever home in 2017! Like most beagles, she is very sweet, loving and gets along beautifully with everyone she meets. Although she is not a good candidate for a home with cats (she likes to chase them) Penny has been kid tested, Mom approved and also gets along well with an array of other dogs to include those much larger than herself.

Ideally, Penny will fare best in a home as a playmate for younger children and/or other dogs. Penny is active and requires a home where she is able to get plenty of exercise and be kept busy to keep her well balanced. She is also a wonderful cuddle dog that will crawl up in your lap, her dog bed or even better in her opinion, your bed and settle down for a nap.

Penny is healthy, spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. She knows how to sit on command, walks beautifully on a leash and is also crate trained. Penny must be secured within a fenced area or leashed with supervision at all times to ensure her safety. Preference will be given to those with a fenced yard. Those who are not familiar with the characteristics of beagles are encouraged to perform research on the breed to ensure realistic expectations before submitting an adoption application.
