Max is a sexy, sleek bundle of maximum goofball.   He is housetrained & crate trained, & fantastic on a leash. He loves belly rubs & even know how to "sit" on command!

Cats seem OK with him & his small dog buddies are cool too.   People of all types are awesome... especially small humans who like to throw toys & share snacks.

Max will do best in a home with a fenced yard & a dog buddy, but is willing to consider life as a SBD (single black dog) for the right family.  An adopter that will commit to continued training (and perhaps even classes with a trainer) would be beneficial to help Max continue on the right path.

MAX is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore.

An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption

Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.
